At PRM, our commitment goes beyond the rail industry. We are passionate about making a positive impact on both our local communities and the environment.
Guided by our core values, we strive to operate sustainably – ensuring that our actions benefit not just our business but also the people and places we serve.
We invest in initiatives that promote social, environmental and economic wellbeing, bringing tangible benefits to our communities.
PRM's Core Values: Respect. Ingenuity. Reliability
We live and work in the Pilbara and are committed to building genuine relationships with all our stakeholders.
We are skilful and continue to demonstrate this through the quality outcomes, knowledge, and passion we show in our work.
We are respectful to each other, the community and of the land on which we live and operate. We will minimise environmental impact, while maximising value to our stakeholders.
We are reliable, trustworthy, and consistent when executing our works, which we do safely and efficiently through innovative processes, procedures, and technology.
We own and manage our plant and equipment and will always be willing to take entrepreneurial risks to achieve ongoing successful outcomes.
We pride ourselves on our ingenuity and ability to emerge with technology, and state-of-the-art solutions to enable continuous improvement in all aspects of our business.
We are invested in our people, in our community, and in our vision.
Local Engagement and Community
Empowering Local Aboriginal Communities
As a business that operates on the traditional lands of the Ngarluma and Yindjibarndi people, we have a responsibility to give back to the Aboriginal community that has welcomed us.
PRM’s Co-Founders Chris Prior and Chelsea Herman were honoured to be invited onto Country to sign a landmark Sponsorship Agreement with the Ngarluma Yindjibarndi Foundation Ltd (NYFL). Under this agreement, PRM provides both financial and ‘boots on the ground’ support for several socially and economically crucial projects including:
- Ieramagadu store in Roebourne – a local supermarket which is owned by Traditional Owners and provides heavily discounted groceries and essentials to local Mob, assisting with food security in remote communities.
- Community Garden Project – led by Elders who want a place for community to grow food, learn horticultural skills and to come together. PRM supported the garden financially and has provided labour, machinery and materials.

Caring For Our Environment
As a company founded in the Pilbara by Pilbara locals, it goes without saying that PRM as a company has a deep appreciation of the natural environment in which we operate.
We believe the Pilbara is a unique and biodiverse environment unlike anywhere else on earth. This makes us determined to find innovative ways to achieve our usual standards of excellence in service delivery while minimising our environmental impact.
Some of our recent environmental initiatives include:
- Solar Powered Facilities – delivered in partnership with Red Rock Engineering, we run solar powered amenities for site offices and ablution facilities. This saves approximately 6,000L of diesel fuel use per month and reduces our carbon footprint.
- Technologically Advanced Equipment – our top-of-the-line equipment include advanced environmental features such as lower emissions technology. All PRM equipment procured after 2022 has a Tier 4 Environmental Rating, which uses up 30 per cent less diesel.
Local Partnerships Supporting Business and Community
At PRM, we are deeply rooted in the Karratha community, with our head office and leadership team living locally.
We prioritise partnerships with local suppliers, ensuring we contribute to the growth and sustainability of our region. We are also proud to support local sporting events, schools, and charities, including the Clontarf Academy and Karratha Stars Foundation, which provides Indigenous youth with educational and career pathways, helping them to engage with school and move into further study or work.
